The setting for the musical is a therapist’s office, where Neil Diamond and a psychiatrist talk about his life by incorporating his lyrics. The songs take on a life of their own, giving even the most loyal fans of Neil Diamond a new take on the lyrics.
The writers incorporate and explain important milestones in Neil Diamond’s life through the introduction of each song. In fall of 2022 the show made its debut on Broadway in Manhattan. It continued on Broadway through mid-2024. When the musical ended its run in NYC, the shows developers announced plans for a USA tour.
